Two stars as a previous experience here was wonderful, we expected another great experience, however our last experience left us not willing to return.

Horrible shop owner - Terrible ethics, do not believe the posts on this site about fair pricing. I am very knowledgeable about my vehicles, book time, parts cost and how much shops pay their mechanics...Master tries to charge you an inflated "Diagnostic Fee" even if you are 100% certain of the problem. They over charged a neighbor lady in a cast this fee to install her battery because (simple 5 minute battery swap) she did not buy it from them, WTF. She will never return after being taken advange of. For a simple rear hatch solenoid repair they tried to charge 110/hr (their poor mechanics see 20-25/hr of that) and then they mark up parts to to almost dealer levels for aftermarket parts. I showed up with a Ford dealer part in my hand, my tools were in storage with the move, and was turned away just before Christmas to replace a simple part that takes 15-20 minutes max. Happy to pay an hour labor for the help because it was really cold out. She wanted a diagnostic fee, 2 hours labor, and if she allowed my Ford Dealer part, and had the balls to ask for 125/hr since she was not making any mark up on the part that she would need to order. She said she pays her staff a living wage, no she does not...these poor mechanics cannot live on 40-50k a year living in St Louis. Perhaps they do a good jobs on your car repair but you will pay DEARLY for their lackluster service and crass behavior. If you have money to burn, fine, but I'd suggest the Fairway shop or MT Schiel just east on Watson for a more human/service oriented experience. May God bless the crazy lady who runs this shop and the poor souls who work there+. They do not deserve 1 star, I met one of their mechanics at a local restaurant by chance and the employees call this lady the Grinch. You can't make this stuff up+

Low key place with great customer service!

Instead of heading to the recommended specialist due to scheduling issues we simply took it to the dealership. We then find out they opened it up and someone had been inside the rear of the vehicle already (where you have to completely pull it apart) and broken a screw within it.

BEST. PLACE. EVER. Not only honest and fair priced but they also give a rental car of pick my car up from my house.

We took our car in for a belt change, and they let us know that it had a strange noise in the rear end, which we knew, they recommended we go to a transmission specialist who would be able to take it apart and see what the issue was.

We do not know what they actually did inside the rear of our vehicle but we will not be going back there to find out. To not even tell us they had opened up this part of the vehicle to look at it before suggesting we go to another business they are in partnership with makes me incredibly wary and untrustworthy of their business.

This team is so awesome! The first time I came in was due to their great reviews. After talking thru my situation, they suggested I not invest the money I planned on putting into my car because I expected to buy a new one in the next few months. They saved me a lot of money. I got a screw in my tire today and they were able to get me in right away to patch it. They’re so professional, friendly, and refreshingly trustworthy. I obviously don’t want to need to come come back but if/when another issue arises, they will certainly get my business and I will refer others here.

Masters did not tell us they had accessed this part of the vehicle, replaced the fluid (which had been done), or anything other than listen to the odd sound they suggested we get examined. They are the only people who have had access to this vehicle.
