Have been going for annual physicals for about 16 years. No complaints, good service and they have been very helpful. I use it along with my regular health insurance which I have to purchase anyway.
My father used this facility for the past 20 years. Just the last few years I brought him here for his health care. This is an outstanding facility, as well as John Cochran VA Medical Center. Everyone he came in contact with were so kind and caring and helpful. I have zero complaints about anything. From his Primary Care physicians, nurses and staff, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Eye clinic and Low Vision Clinic everyone treated him with great compassion. Thank you for the Veteran's Health Care System. My father and family really appreciated it!
If you are lucky enough to get an appointment with a psychiatrist appointment especially on an emergency basis, they cancel it. We have been trying since August. Just received a letter resetting appt to December.
HORRIBLE. Doctors are GREAT here but the staff and service in building 51 is HORRIBLE! Everyone who works there acts like they were forced to work there and are sooo not generous with their kindness. I do NOT recommend this hospital for any veteran.
The medical professionals are excellent. The bureaucracy of the VA is horrible. If the gov't was serious about fixing it, they would eliminate the wasteful activities. They would get rid of the call center. Set up a website with the phone numbers of clinics, and doctors.
