Due to certain medical complications I had to use BJC Home Health Care. I have no complaints about my nurses that came to my home or any of the equipment used. Everything was fantastic.
I work in health care. That's utterly ridiculous!!! What if I had HIV/ AIDS. Incredible.
HOWEVER, When I finished my home health I had a full red sharps box container. A week after completing my home health I called to see about someone coming to pick up the sharps box to properly dispose of my blood products, Needles and syringes.
I REFUSE to dispose of my used blood products, syringes and needles in my personal trash. I will actively seek a different way to appropriately dispose of this equipment. I really hope BJC ("Worlds Best Medicine") will update this practice to keep these items off the street.

I'm a Paramedic that has run more IV drug related overdoses than I can count. I've asked these individuals many times about how they've acquired the necessary needles and syringes to shoot up. Consistently i've been told how they rummage through the garbage day in and day out.
The building, the staff, the whole experience here is top shelf. My surgeon ok is ranked one of the highest surgeons in his field. The building is clean from top to bottom. Even the restrooms are spotless. The people here are kind and caring. This is the place for your health care.
I was rather taken aback when the representative from Home Health said they would not come to pick the Sharps Box up. She told me to fill it with bleach and tape the top of the box and dispose of it in my own personal garbage.
Excellent service, good food, good rooms, this is a great place to be!
