The staff is also pretty awesome! I could tell that the nurses and staff enjoy working with Dr Shitut. Anyone Dr Shitut spoke to in the office, had a smile that touched their eyes. If they don't start out smiling, it won't take the Dr long to make it happen.
Was involved in an automobile accident and got refered to shitut by my GP. On my first visit to shitut he ordered a mri of only one part of my back that was having problems out of many. I told the secretary to fax the information over to my insurance company to get me approved for the MRI....they did not do that... Out of two and a half weeks of calling in to this office and asking for the office manager.. She was never there and we are waiting to get approval to send it off and the dr is on vacation cannot send it without him. After countless screening of trying to get in contact with the office manager i finally got thru and got a sorry ill see about sending it over now. Got the MRI done just days before my visit and had small movement in my spine from what my chiropracter saw in the MRI. I went back for my appointment for shitut and he pulled it up and said there wasnt enough damage to do any surgery.. Discharged me back to work with me still in pain.. and walked out on me.. You would think bjc would be better reputable than to have done this. No i will not recommend this doctor. If anything i would advise patients of his to go elsewhere.
Dr Shitut is simply one of the most talented neuro surgeons around and yet he's also very very nice. Dr Shitut explained what he would do, answered my questions, and when I had a slight issue with a stitch that my body was trying to reject, he insisted that I be seen, even though he was quite already overbooked.
Dr. Shitut is a great surgeon. He is a guy with a sense of humor which is always welcome when you are so exhausted and depressed. After much effort dealing with my insurance company i finally had him do my spinal fusion. Although I have a long road ahead I can honestly say he gave me absolute confidence in his abilities to help me. Already I can feel my feet again, sit up straight, and look forward to a better quality of life. I can honestly say I'm glad I put my life in his hands as I was about to give up. I actually have hope now. Speaking on his skill alone I would do it all again. He saved my life no doubt.
I've had 6 back surgeries Dr shitut doing the last one it was amazing I had no pain after surgery I can do whatever I want to do my back is fine couldn't have asked for a better surgeon I give him five stars
