This hotel was amazing!! Mona at the bar had wonderful hospitality!! Rooms were big and clean, the staff was always prompt to recognize you at the front desk as well! I come from a hospitality background and this place is ran like a well oiled machine - it definetly shows their your staff!! A+!
This hotel was nice. It's a very old building but modern refurbished. My room was very very nice. You can't see the arch but you still can only see the Marriott across the street and some other parts of the city. I did not eat there so I can't speak for the food. There were some dicey characters hanging out around the lobby very early in the morning, but it wasn't an issue. I would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful lobby with nicely restored vintage touches. Rooms are furnished well and everything in them is modern. Large TV on a swivel mount. (I never used it, so I can't talk about the channel availability.) Free WiFi was fast enough to accomplish my work. The room had a desk area. The room's bar was equipped with an under-counter refrigerator. Bed was comfortable, but sheets slid off the mattress too easily. Bathroom had two doors, but the light switch was only by one of them. The location of the hotel is great and the staff is amazingly courteous. I'd choose this hotel again if I come back to the area.
The parking is unpleasant at best. Valet parking service makes it somewhat painless, but at a steep price.
This place was a fantastic place to stay. The staff were friendly and it was conveniently located within walking distance of several of the landmarks in town.
In particular, both Busch Stadium and the Gateway Arch are both within walking distance. There are also several upscale restaurants within walking distance.
Great location! Beside the American Center. Room had king size bed. Coffee and pastries for breakfast. Drinks at bar and also had dinner menu. Also had a gym.
It's also worth noting that if you don't often drive in big cities, you really need to watch the red lights on your way to this hotel. I almost called trouble when I accidentally ran a red light because I flat-out didn't see the thing. Drive safely!
