I love Ace Hardware, they always have the most helpful staff that tend to be a different caliber of help than with the big box stores. I never leave with more tools or product than I need for the job at hand. I will forever be an Ace Man and this Ace is "my place".
I'm not sure who to blame for this, but it'll be going to Ace Hardware Corp as well. What is the point of being an "Ace Rewards Member" if one can't use the dang coupons that they send for being a member? I went in today to buy 3 bags of ice melt. 8.49 per 25 lb bag. Regular price. Coupon says 7.00 off anything over 20.00 or more of regular priced merchandise. I couldn't use the coupon because they don't honor it on this type of merchandise because they "can't get their money back." or something to that effect per the cashier. I don't hold the cashier responsible - he was having a hard time explaining it. I can go to Lowes and get a 40 lb bag for a dollar more - which I will next time. Don't tell me you appreciate my business and will "reward me for being a rewards member" then send me a coupon that you won't honor. That's bull. Lowes or Home Depot is out of my way, but I'll be going there instead from now on. Too bad, Ace. I tried.
OK this is awesome. They have the best staff. Laurie helped me specially order the triple shred mulch when they didn't carry it in the store. I would recommend this place to anybody.
