The salon was very clean, the staff were very professional & knowledgeble. Meg was incredibly friendly, understood exactly what I was looking for and was able to execute a plan to get me achieve my hair goals. I thought the prices were reasonable & I'm looking forward to continuing working with Meg & Illusions.
I was slightly intimidated when first walking into Illusions, as I felt out of place. The salon is elegantly decorated and all of the patrons and staff looked so hip and trendy, which I am certainly not. Honestly I almost left, as I have been in other salons where I was either ignored or treated rudely because I didn't fit their image. But everyone at Illusions was very warm and welcoming, and treated me with respect and courtesy. Alex was my stylist and she listened to what I wanted and made recommendations, and gave me a price before she ever started, which I appreciated. She did a fantastic job on my hair, knowing exactly how to lighten it even after I had used boxed dye for a long time. My hair is beautiful, I receive compliments every single day on it, and the products she recommended are superb. Alex helped me to feel proud of my hair again and this has given me my confidence back. You cannot put a price on that. I booked my 8 week appointment with Alex to keep my new color fresh, and I am looking forward to returning to Illusions. Everyone asks where I had my hair done, and I proudly tell them Illusions Color Spa. I walked in feeling like a frumpy middle-aged woman and walked out feeling like a lady of class. Received a lot of positive feedback from friends and family over haircut and color. I am still getting used to the low lights and the stripes they make in my hair but overall am pleased. Monica provided a lot of education on hair care and styling and recommended some great products which have made a huge improvement in my hair. It is shiny, less tangly, and less frizzy.
I loved my experience at Illusions. Nicole made me feel very comfortable and wanted to make sure I knew what I was going to get before doing anything. She took so much time and my hair looks great, you can tell she really loves what she does!
I am very impressed with the staff at Illusions. After my stylist moved away I received enough poor haircuts to leave me with anxiety about anyone touching my hair. It was time for a change though and I remembered the great updos I had experienced from your salon in high school. The stylist recreated the cut I had shown her and took plenty of time doing so which allowed me to adjust to the giant change before walking out of the salon. We removed about 10 and absolutely everyone has complimented my hair. My favorite part is that the cut looks great without having to be styled. I really think she had an understanding of my hair type and adjusted the style around it rather.
