I'd been looking for my first non-department store bike, and I stopped into South Side Cyclery. I was greeted quickly, and directed to a bike that was suited to the conditions I ride on. Everything was adjusted to fit, and I took a quick test ride. The staff was very helpful, quickly installing the accessories I selected after deciding to purchase. The clerk took the time to explain the the pros and cons of various options available for accessories and was extremely helpful. I'll happily go back for any cycling needs I have in the future.
Everyone here is great! They have great prices but to me the most important service is after the sale. Every time I take my bike in for simple maintenance they go above and beyond. When they fix an issue they are always a day earlier then they tell me and they always fix it right the first time. Save your self time and money and go to South Side for any cyclery needs. My family and I do!

Most unhelpful, rude, dishonest shop I have ever worked with. I bought a bike a service plan from here, and staff lied to me about specs of the bike as well as return policy. Then, when they put it together, they made several mistakes, which they refused to correct even after I brought them to the mechanic's attention, causing permanent damage to the bike. I decided to at least try to get something out of my service plan, so I look the bike in for a simple tune up. The bike came back messed up, plus it was 5 days late, after I had made an appointment and been promised same day service. Throughout the experience, once I bought the bike, staff was unbelievably condescending and acted like I knew nothing when they had clearly made mistakes. Avoid this place at all costs!!!
