A solid place to get lunch and everything you'd expect at a St. Louis Bread Co. also known as Panera Bread to the wider national audience. The food is good and of course the bread is always well cooked and tender. One bit of advice, if during the weekday and lunch hour...beware...it is REALLY busy and you may have to wait. However, the staff anticipates this and works hard to get you your food as fast as they can. Check out their online app so you can order ahead of time. That way when you arrive your food will be ready!
Worst Bread Company I've ever visited. I think there is a serious management problem at this location. Last time I visited for breakfast, my bacon-egg & cheese on ciabatta was not very warm and looked like someone literally "threw" it together...not very appetizing. While I was sitting eating, two employees began shouting at each other in the kitchen area...they carried on shouting loudly about something for several minutes as guests looked at each other and shrugged. I ended up taking my food outside because the loud talking was so obnoxious I couldn't enjoy my meal. Won't be back...
We were excited about the delivery service that is being offered and after a hard days work we decided that we didn't want to cook tonight. We ordered online which was great but when it was delivered, some items were missing. We called the location (Forest Park Parkway) to let them know but no-one answered and the phone hangs up after the automated system says "hold on for urgent matters." We tried to reach someone repeatedly for 30 minutes but gave up. This is disappointing as I am a loyal Bread Co customer as well as a stock holder. Going to order Snarfs on Grand so I don't go hungry. Their roasted chicken sandwich with peppers is amazing.
Staying at Barnes Jewish hospital, I was looking for a good place to eat. St Louis bread co was right at the corner of the hospital. I ordered a ham and swiss sandwich. Got back to the hospital and was disappointed to open my food. The bread was so hard that I couldnt eat it. Opened the sandwich and the bread was also hard. I had to peel away the outer crust just to eat it. I paid $7.33 for a sandwich that was terrible. Do not recommend.
We eat at this one, once or twice a week. I have always been very happy with my service, I just went through the drive threw window. The lady that took my order, seemed very bothered and or just discussed she was taking or orders? Her customer service was very poor! I ordered two different pick two meals, got to the window and asked the lady to please give me chips with both pick twos. I heard one of the other workers state, " there is a bread and a bag of chips in the bag and thats what your getting"!! I got home to realize yes, they put a piece of bread loaf and one bag of chips!! I'm very disappointed with this visit, bad customer service!!!
