Went out of his way to put together wedding gift basket stuffers for us at the last minute. He was professional, courteous, and the price was amazing for his personalized treats. The shop is out of the way, but the owner explained it saves him rent money which helps him keep prices low. I have met few professionals who care so much about getting it right for his customers.
They have good cake, but it's not run well. This last Saturday we were doing a scavenger hunt and one of the items was to eat Gooey Butter Cake without your hands. My first thought was to go to this place, that's what they do. Was long past their opening time on the door. We walked in (door unlocked) and a voice yelled out from the back "WE'RE CLOSED". Maybe you should change your open times and learn some customer service..... or keep the door locked!
While the cakes are delicious, we recently had an issue where their baker left, we were promised a certain amount of cakes and delayed leaving the city for our order to be filled. When we returned we were told they ran out of batter and couldn't fill our order, we were in from out of town and this was ridiculous. They didn't even give us a courtesy call when they asked for our phone number before we left site the first time.
Anytime I am in St Louis I have to go here. Assuming they are open when they say they are. Twice I've gone here when they are open and the doors are locked. I'm done wasting my time trying to go here. Im settling for other bakeries that make these kind of cakes. At least they will be open when they say they are.
Fantastic cakes! Award-winning! Different varieties to pick from. I met the owner he showed me all around. The place is spotless
