THE LESS GOOD: The flavors leave something to be desired, and getting the correct order isn't a given. The last three times I've ordered carry out something was incorrect. I've also received chow mein with no noodles, and the lady tried to tell me that there aren't noodles of any kind in the mostly-cabbage dish they call chow mein (note: the word mein is literally derived from the Chinese word for noodle). Just triple check your order before you leave the building.
This is a very nice place to eat. The staff was very helpful in ordering the food as we are not really Chinese food experts. Price is reasonable and food was great. We had the combo dinner and the total was about $9 per person.
THE GOOD: The people who work here are always nice. This place is conveniently located. The food is edible and priced well.
I have notice the couple times I have order from them they gave me rice that was already cooked and sitting under a warmer. I always have to ask for fresh rice....
Very gracious people run this restaurant. I had not been in before. I must admit I was expecting the usual run of the mill vegetarian rice I ordered a pint for lunch take out with a few insipid carrots and peas. Wow ,what I got was any thing but....As the picture shows on the colorful paper plate. Big chunks of a sorted veggies mushroom, onion, broccoli, water, chestnut, baby corn for a start. I noticed something common to cooking in parts of Malaysia near Singapore (I lived in that area as a kid) ....a bit of tumeric thrown in while steaming the rice, coloring it yellow
It gives a nice contrast on the plate and a boost to your system an anti Inflammitory spice. I was pleased that the cook elevated this simple dish by surprising me with the out of the Ordinary. I this restaurant takes this much care with a pint of Vegetarian fried rice. I can't wait to see what they do with Singapore Noodles(rice noodles) and other dishes. I will be back often.
Ordered thru Skip the Dish delivery, 3 entrees: 1 Qt shrimp fried rice, 1 order chicken wings, 1 pu pu platter. EVERYTHING was over cooked and dry, may have been left overs from earlier in the day. Bill was $33, including delivery fee and I tipped the driver $3. When I called restaurant to tell them about the dry overcooked food, and it really wasn't hot either, he immefiately tried to give me an excuse. I told him he needed to listen, I was just calling so they can improve, change the oil and don't overcook the food because itcwas too dark and it was dry!!
