We had a chronic problem with a leaking roof and bedroom window for some time. After working with a variety of handymen to try to solve the problem I called Tesson Roofing and Exteriors. I wish they were my first phone call! They replaced my roof, which solved those leaks, but most importantly, continued to work with me after the roofing job was complete to ensure my leaky window was repaired. Everyone in this company was a true professional, from Holly the receptionist who was super friendly and went the extra mile to get repair crews out to my home right away, to Brett, the owner who personally repaired my window after he found the main source of that leak. How many other companies would do that? I would not hesitate to recommend Tesson Roofing and Exteriors to my family and friends and they will be my first and only phone call the next time I need windows, siding or roofing work done. To further illustrate my review on 3/28…it has taken Tesson Roofing four months to be concerned about the opinion of a customer. Four months later, out of the blue, I received a text from Brett Tesson on 7/30 asking to meet with me in person. I replied that I would be happy to meet, but unless they were interested in fixing my roof, without further cost to me, there was nothing to discuss. Brett texted back, “Yeah we have a lot to talk about” and we set the time for him to meet me at my work. Bait and switch. As soon as we sat down I could tell he had an axe to grind with me instead of the other way around. They were not there to discuss my review so much as demand I take responsibility for them not effectively communicating. Brett stated he tried to call me on 3/28, conveniently the day I left my review, and that I never returned his call. Keep in mind, they had not contacted me back since 3/10. Apparently, they believe it is the customer’s responsibility to drive their staff to fulfill what they say they will do. I asked him, beyond one phone call did he make any other effort to which he replied no. He had no problem texting four months later and they also had my email. He repeatedly blamed me for his staff not communicating with me while showing me on his phone that they had done so internally. When I told him he was acting fairly aggressive and asked what outcome he was trying to get out of our meeting, he said he wanted to know why I left my review. I asked if he was wanting to fix my roof and he said no, absolutely not. I said our meeting was over and led him out of the building with him yelling at my back about how he didn’t understand how I could leave that review. I think Mr. Tesson, with a four month gap between communication and caring about your customer, you placing the blame on your customer for your staff’s lack of communication and your own personal effort, and your aggressive posturing in a place of business…you illustrate perfectly my review of 3/28.
Horrible Communication
I have to say that the people over at Tesson Roofing & Exteriors are horrible at communicating with their customers. They told me they would get back to me about a major issue that they had caused and they never did. I have to email them and call them multiple times to get a response. If I do get a response it usually takes them over a week to respond if they bother to at all. The issue is that there are dips on the side of the roof that they installed for me that are very noticeable. When the quality assurance person came, they literally just checked off everything and handed me back the sheet when there was clearly something wrong. When I called them back and they finally got back to me they admitted that was wrong and then the person in charge even identified what they did wrong. Then on top of all of this once that was settled they wanted to charge me an additional $1,800 to fix the problem that they caused! I have tried multiple times to get them to do things and have waited so long for this to be resolved that I don't care if they get a negative review.

I would definitely give this company five stars. Brett and Jim were very patient and thorough in answering my many questions before signing the contract, and I found communicating with others in the company, during and after completion of the work, to be equally easy. My roof was properly installed and the surrounding area was checked and cleaned by an efficient and courteous crew. What more could I ask.
