Well, we won't be going back. We got there at 4:15. (They open at 4:00) We stood in line for over 2 1/2 hours. Finally got to the cashier who wanted to charge us extra because I didn't have my rewards card on me. Of course I could have gotten a replacement during the stupidly long wait if they had any signage before we got to the cashier. I insisted on talking to a manager who fixed things but I could tell the cashier had a real chip on her shoulder after being corrected by her boss. Finally got to a table and had a very disappointing buffet. Not that anything was bad, it's just that for $32 per person, I expected much better. Everything was average at best. These people have a long way to go to learn how to retain customers.
I had high hopes but it's very disappointing. You'll be better off going to Golden Corral
I will start of by saying that the service at the hostess station where you pay is potentially horrific. Unfortunately, it is obviously staffed with some people who simply shouldn't be allowed to talk to guests because not only do they not care, but they will argue and talk back to you. But hopefully you won't have the same experience - fingers crossed.
Now this buffet is by no means the best buffet in the country. But it probably is the best in St. Louis. They have a pretty decent sushi station along with the usual lunch options you might expect. But I think dessert is where they really shine. Their gelato is actually pretty great! And they had some pretty great chocolate mousse on this particular day.
I'm sure we will visit again!
A fellow foodie of mine suggested this place to us, so when my parents visited us last month we figured taking them was the perfect excuse to finally check it out!
