After recent changes, this place seems to be dying...I do hate to see it, as this is my favorite restaurant. The fun has left and all new waitresses and waiters have taken over. Super slow service, wrong drinks, and food coming out cold--and this is on a slow time of the day. Totally chaotic at dinner time with 30 minute waits for food. The ultimate margarita used to be the bomb, but now I barely get a buzz on them. They need to bring Blanca and Louis back!!!! They put the fun in the place--always a smile and ready to accommodate. The place stayed packed with them there, now all I hear is crickets......Can't say I will be going back too soon, as the wait staff is totally untrained and inexperienced at best. Can't even get chip refills or drinks unless you call from the patio to the front desk to see if your waiter can wait on you. Sad to see it.....
Chips are my favorite of any restaurant, very thin and crispy. Salsa was okay, but I usually order their spicy salsa, which is pretty hot and in my opinion better than the regular. You can get some pretty large portions for a very reasonable price. Apparently they have very good fried chicken, but I just cant bring myself to order fried chicken when I am feeling like tamales or enchiladas. I frequent this place at least once a month and would recommend.
Best fried chicken in St Louis! I would avoid the American sides. The habenero fried chicken with rice and beans are perfect. Crispy heat, juicy chicken survives reheating... I think most reheated chicken taste like burnt rubber so it means a lot that I'll eat this chicken leftover... Sometimes cold.
Always great food margaritas. Nice outside seating. Service is fast.
Wonderful service..!! Food and drinks are amazing and I love the happy hour deal... my friend told me about this place and when we went I couldn’t help but come back...!!
