This really is a nice park. Well maintained, clean. Great for walking, hiking, running, yoga, meditation, you name it. Dog's, bikes, and humans co-exist with out issue. There is lots to do and lots to see. I recommend going to the Farmers market there as well.
Love this park! It has a walking trail through out and the trees are phenomenal. There are also lots of empty field areas. It's usually a bit quieter during the week than many other parks! I know this park has rangers patrolling and has some stricter rules then some, for instance, tying things like hammocks on trees isn't allowed here. They do have lots of pavillions, tables, and benches, as well as a playground and a farmers market on Saturday mornings! Gorgeous and in a cool neighborhood.
This is the best Park in the city. Excellent for running and entertaining children. Lots of facilities from tennis to splash pools. Best place in the city to rent a historic picnic shelter.
Great little park with lots of history, so many different parts from the ponds throughout and the walking path throughout where you can run ride and have a lot of fun! Missouri Botanical Garden is close by too, both parks make for a good weekend fun!
Very nice established park. It has a multitude of acreage on a shaded plot (the shade is provided by the hundreds of species of trees that line the grounds). There are multiple pavilions for picnics, each with its own character and style (many dating to the Victorian era). I believe this park, most of which was established in the 1800s, was used as an overflow for the 1904 World's Fair. It truly has an eclectic and historical feel.
