The historic basilica is a continually operating church with a historied background. A beautiful structure and setting that lends itself to respect and reverence, whether you are a believer or not. Enjoyable visit.
The church is small but impressive on the inside and intricately decorated. Not a must see, but worth the stop if you're in the area. It is a short walking distance from the arch, and the entry is free.

This is a Church building whose interior and exterior architecture gives honor and glory to God through the display of handicraft of the marble statues, the wooden pews, the fine materials used to cover the Sanctuary chairs. How I wish I had the skills to describe the beauty of this House of Worship and Prayer.
