The owner does not answer the store phone. I tried 10 different times throughout the day. Then just decided to drive there, only to be further disappointed that he would not honor an advertised price. Very frustrating and unprofessional!
Oh, what a treasure to have in St. Louis! Walking in, I felt like I was in Heaven - from the sight of icons lining the walls, to the soft, enchanting music playing, even the fragrant smell of incense... it was a wonder to behold. And the couple who owns the shop couldn't be more helpful or more gracious. What a wonderful couple and store! What a wealth of icons, books, jewelry, cards, prayer ropes, and more! I found so many Orthodox items that I know I'll treasure for years to come, and what I wasn't able to find in the store I was able to order online with the help of the shopowner's wife. My order will be in next week and I already can't wait to go back! If you are Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, or seeking, please do yourself a favor and visit Archangels Bookstore!
